FAQ’S

What Is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is just one of many different compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBD has no psychoactive “high” effects and has many beneficial properties.

What Is Hemp?
Hemp is not marijuana. Although hemp does contain some cannabinoids, in order to be legally cultivated, hemp must contain less than 0.3% THC. Hemp is also grown as an industrial crop for the use of fibers in textiles and even building materials. Industrial hemp is not the most desirable source of CBD oil due to its small concentrations for cannabinoids and terpenes. Many of the CBD products on the market are produced from this kind of industrial hemp which makes it very difficult for consumers. These products have been found to contain either no CBD or very little CBD that would not be effective as medicine.

Will Hemp-Derived CBD Products Get Me High?
This is the most common question and concern, but you can relax as you absolutely can’t get high. Our products have 0.0% THC, which is the psychoactive part of the cannabis plant that gives the ‘high’ feeling.

Are Smooth Product 4U Products Legal?
Absolutely! All of our products contain 0.0% THC (and the federal limit is no more than .3% THC), meaning our products are legal in all 50 states to buy and ship across state lines. Furthermore, the 2018 Farm Bill made hemp and all of it’s derivatives federally legal.

What Is The Difference Between Hemp Seed Oil And Hemp Oil (CBD)?
While hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant, hemp oil is derived from the leaves, flowers, and stalks of the hemp plant. The highest concentrations of cannabinoids are found in the flowers of the hemp plant. Hemp oil products have a much greater concentration of CBD than hemp seed oil products. Hemp seed oil products commonly contain no therapeutically viable levels of cannabinoids.

How Do I Store My CBD Products?
It is recommended storing your CBD oil in a cool dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Make sure to shake well before each use and ensure the cap is closed after each use. Refrigeration is not necessary but may prolong shelf life.

What Are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are active compounds produced by all cannabis plants. They account for most of the benefits of cannabis. Cannabinoids found in plants are technically called phytocannabinoids which mimic compounds we call endocannabinoids that are produced naturally by all mammals. The main two cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant are CBD and THC.

What Is The Endocannabinoid System?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids (cannabinoids produced by the body) and the receptors they bind to (CB1 and CB2). The ECS’s job is to regulate the flow of signals that are being sent between cells with the goal of maintaining balance. Endocannabinoids are made and released by your cells on demand as a response to a trigger. Triggers include injury, illness, inflammation or other imbalances. When your ECS system is not working properly, you may have an imbalance, which can manifest as a medical condition. The cannabis plant is a natural medicine that can help balance the ECS system for a number of medical conditions. When the ECS system is functioning well, homeostasis of many of the brain and body’s physiologic processes are maintained. If you have a normally functioning ECS system, you may have a different response to cannabis than someone who has an imbalance in his or her ECS system.
